National Information
October 6, 2009: National Clean Diesel Campaign Request for Proposals (RFP) is now open for approximately $32 million in FY 2009 funding. The RFP closes on December 8, 2009.
New this year to the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) RFP is a set aside for Tribes. EPA is responding to tribal concerns about diesel emissions and the desire for tribes to participate in this competition. The tribal set aside approach will allows for smaller tribal grants and does not require each Region to manage a separate tribal competition. We are doing outreach with Region 5 tribes on the opportunity and hope to see increased participation.
