The 2013 conference will bring together representatives from 29 tribes, two regional intertribal organizations, 10 EPA regional divisions/offices, three offices from EPA headquarters, as well as two other federal agencies and one state agency.

We are excited to invite you to join us at our upcoming Annual 2013 Tribal Environmental Management (TEPM) and Region 5 Tribal Operations Committee (R5TOC) Conferences scheduled for the week of February 12 – 14, 2013 hosted by the Indian Environmental Office at the Chicago Regional Office.

We have started the planning for our upcoming TEPM Conference being held during February 12 – 13 and R5TOC on February 14, 2013.

Agendas and workshops items are under development at this time and we would like to solicit agenda items and workshops recommendations that are relevant to your environmental programs. IEO feels that the conference should not only be about information that EPA needs to share with you, but inclusive of items that are important to you and successes that you would like to share with us. So please share your recommendations with any IEO staff by phone, email (lastname.firstname@epa.gov) by [deadline for agenda development].

Arrival: Monday, February 11, 2013 will be a travel date.
Departure: Thursday, February 14, 2013

We’ve arranged a block of rooms at Club Quarters (PDF) (1p, 132KB), located at 111 West Adams St, Chicago, IL 60603, under the group code of “R5TOC1” at the rate of $130 per night. Please call Club Quarters Member Services during business hours at 203-905-2100 to make your reservation with your credit card. Also let Member Services know that you are attending an “EPA” hosted conference. Deadline date for reservations at this rate is January 7, 2013. These rooms usually go quickly so secure your reservations early.

Please note that there is a $15 charge per extra person per room. Chicago’s current hotel tax rate is 16.40%.

Parking is available at 230 S. Federal Street which is about two minutes from the hotel. Currently the rate is $20 for self-parking or $35 for hotel valet parking per night.
