- Project Mission: To fill in the breach and re-connect the east end of Trinity Island with East Island to prevent continued erosion of these barrier islands. The project includes an additive alternate to repair a small brach near the Stone Energy platform on the eastern end of East Island if funds are available.

Mining materials from the Ship Shoal area was too expensive to stay within the approved construction budget. New borrow site has been located and plans and specs are revised. Construction anticipated in 2006.
