RCRA Hazardous Waste Program
In Region 7, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act(RCRA) program is located in the Air, RCRA and Toxics Division (ARTD). There are two branches that manage and handle RCRA program issues. They are the RCRA Enforcement and State Program Branch (RESP) and the RCRA Corrective Action & Permits Branch (RCAP). RESP implements and oversees compliance activities in the four Region VII states, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. RCAP handles issues regarding RCRA facility permits and corrective action (CA) activities. The RCRA program area encompasses the Underground Storage Tank (UST) and the Solid Waste programs. The Federal Regulations comprising RCRA are found in 40CFR 260-270. What is RCRA?(EPA Hdqtrs/OSW)
