Whirlwind Uranium Mine Rad NESHAPs Construction Approval: Notice of Approval
EPA Region 8 has reviewed an Application for Construction Approval submitted by Energy Fuels Resources Corp. for the Whirlwind Mine in Mesa County, Colorado, pursuant to 40 CFR §61.07. The Whirlwind Mine is subject to Radiation National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants under 40 CFR Part 61 Subpart B. Based on this review, EPA has approved construction of the Whirlwind Mine. EPA has determined that the mine will be in compliance with the health-based emissions standard in 40 CFR §61.22.
