Colorado Department Of Transportation

Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) Exit EPA disclaimer
The RAQC is the Denver region's lead air planning agency, working to meet federal health standards and improve air quality in the six-county area. The RAQC focuses primarily on ozone, carbon monoxide, and fine particulate matter. Its work does not address indoor air quality or air toxics.

The Region 8 Superfund Program is responsible for locating, investigating, and cleaning up uncontrolled or abandoned hazardous waste sites.

The mission of the TOSC program is to help communities with hazardous-substance pollution problems.

EPA Brownfields Site
Brownfields are abandoned, idled, or under-used industrial and commercial facilities where expansion or redevelopment is complicated by real or perceived environmental contamination.

ASARCO, Inc. and ASARCO Superfund Links

ASARCO Globe Plant Superfund Site
The ASARCO Superfund site is a site with metal contaminants resulting from smelting activity.  It is being cleaned by EPA, the State of Colorado, and ASARCO in a joint effort.
