The outlook for 2011 Brownfields funding at EPA is bright and will include a chance to pilot a new multi-purpose grant that features funding for both assessment and cleanup. Other highlights include $4 million for Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grants, and a new round of Technical Assistance to Brownfields Community (TAB) grants.

The 2010 Western Brownfields Workshop was held September 14–16 in Missoula, Montana. This interactive workshop offered EPA Brownfields grantees in Regions 8, 9 and 10, an opportunity to network with other grantees, EPA representatives and other public, private and nonprofit Brownfields experts.
