Q: How will EPA's Proposed Plan for long-term cleanup affect local cleanup contractors such as MCS, ER and Libby Restoration?
A: The Proposed Plan outlines EPA's preferred approach for cleaning up the remaining Libby Asbestos (LA) contamination in the local commercial and residential area. The plan is subject to public comment and the comments are taken very seriously. As a result of your comments and our investigations, the scope of the current cleanup may change. However, for any cleanup that is chosen, EPA will still need to hire local contractors.
