How Pesticides are Regulated
Registration
Generally, all pesticides that are distributed or sold in the United States must be registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP). Pesticides include herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, and repellants, as well as some disinfectants.
