Protecting Children and Communities from Air Pollution

New mercury and air toxics standards will reduce power plant pollutants which cause serious health problems, such as asthma and heart attacks. The new standards can be achieved using pollution control technology that can be made by American companies and installed by American workers.

Greener Cleanups at Air Force Bases

EPA and the Air Force are collaborating to make Air Force Base remediation projects more sustainable.  The effort will reduce costs, improve the natural environment and strengthen our defense capabilities. 

A Nature Park in East Palo Alto

A former toxic burn dump will be transformed into a park.  The restored land will provide outdoor recreation opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles and environmental and historic education opportunities, especially for youth.
