Research Flights Seek to Improve View of Air Pollution from Space
NASA research airplanes recently flew over the Baltimore-Washington region and northeast Maryland as part of a mission to enhance advance satellite capability for measuring ground-level air quality. The flights were supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and will aid the agency in monitoring pollutants that affect people’s health. Read the press release.

Innovative Research on EPA’s R/V Lake Guardian
Fifteen educators from the Great Lakes region joined EPA scientists and partners aboard EPA’s Research Vessel Lake Guardian for a floating educator’s workshop on Lake Superior. The workshop was a collaboration among  EPA, the Centers for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence (COSEE) Great Lakes, and the Great Lakes Sea Grant Network. Read the story.
