Biodiversity and Other Co-effects
The potential effects of carbon-sequestering practices in agriculture and forestry on biodiversity have received considerable attention. Provided
here are a small number of references where these co-effects have been
examined.
In addition to water quality and biodiversity effects, greenhouse gas
mitigation strategies in agriculture and forestry may affect, and be affected
by, activities targeted towards other environmental and societal services.
References here address some of these other co-effects.

Special Report on Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry (chapter 2)
provides a general discussion of the ancillary environmental and societal
effects of sequestration practices.
