Congratuations to Jolie, a seventh-grader from Michigan, who is this year's SunWise with SHADE national poster contest winner! Jolie's poster features "Little Mr. SunWise," who has some great tips for staying safe in the sun.
In the 2011 contest we received nearly 10,000 posters from 45 states and DC! More than 100,000 students have participated in the contest since it began nine years ago. These original, creative posters have suggested ways to prevent skin cancer and raise sun safety awareness. Examples of tips presented on the posters include:
