Site DescriptionMonitor Devices, Inc., operated in a building of a privately-owned regional airport in Wall, Monmouth County, NJ. Industrial and commercial areas surround the site. The company made and assembled printed circuit boards from 1977-1980. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as trichloroethylene were used as solvents and cleaners in a variety of facility operations. The company?s waste water discharge caused ground water contamination. Two public water supply wells are two miles up gradient of the site. An industrial well is down gradient of the site.
