Guidance Document
OSRTI has developed guidance designed to provide USEPA project managers (e.g., remedial project managers, site assessment managers, on-scene coordinators) with the essential information they need to oversee the effective implementation of dynamic field activities at their sites. The guidance should also help educate other key decision-makers (e.g., relevant USEPA personnel, contractors, other federal and state agencies, and potentially responsible parties) about their roles in implementing this process.
This fact sheet briefly describes the purpose, contents, and important
aspects of the Dynamic Field Activities guidance.

The
following transmittal memorandum was signed by Marianne Lamont Horinko,
the EPA Assistant Administrator for the Office of Solid Waste and
Emergency Response, on May 7, 2003. The memorandum emphasizes that
using an on-site decision making process can help to streamline field
work and improve the quality of site decisions at all types of
contaminated sites, regardless of their regulatory status.
