Phase I TRI Dialogue - December 2002 | Phase II TRI Dialogue- November 2003

Introduction to Phase II

On November 5, 2003, EPA initiated Phase II of the dialogue, soliciting comments on options for reducing burden associated with TRI reporting. Comments will be solicited until February 4, 2004. You can view the paper by clicking on the link below. It will also tell you how to submit comments and link you to EPA's EDOCKET to submit your comments.

To assist in the organization of all comments recieved, commenters are asked to state in the beginning of their comments the specific burden reduction option(s) being addressed. If your comment addresses more than one of the options in the stakeholder paper, please indicate in the beginning of your comment the number associated with each of the options addressed. The stakeholder paper has 6 options. Option 6 requests comment on options not specifically discussed in the stakeholder paper. The stakeholder paper also requests comment on the ongoing Toxics Release Inventory - Made Easy (TRI-ME) software. If your comment addresses this software, please state in the beginning of your comment that it addresses "TRI-ME."

Introduction to Phase I

December 17, 2002 marked the end of the 60-day online comment for Phase 1 of the Stakeholder dialogue. The comments received will be analyzed and a report published.

The Office of Environmental lnformation (OEI) initiated the stakeholder dialogue process in an effort to enhance the TRI program and to obtain input on future direction on the program. Phase 1 of this process was an open invitation by EPA to interested stakeholders to comment on TRI methods and activities. "Next Steps" will be posted on this site.
