Flare Information

The EPA prepared a technical report on “Parameters for Properly Designed and Operated Flares”. This report was the subject of a peer review panel. The technical report, charge questions and flare database are provided here for your review.  The comments received from the peer review panel will be provided in the near future.

PLEASE NOTE: We are proposing to revise the Refinery Emissions Estimation Protocol Version 2.0 to incorporate revised/new factors, as well as to incorporate a new procedure for estimating emissions from delayed coking units. Please submit your written comments on Version 3.0 by October 19, 2014. Comments should be e-mailed to refineryfactor@epa.gov
