Abstract: On October 15, 2003, EPA issued a notice reopening the public comment period on its proposed rule to implement the 8-hour ozone standard. The Agency will take comment on two additional approaches for classifying nonattainment areas. The portion of the rule proposed in May 2003 is not open for comment at this time. The comment period will close 15 days after this notice is published in the Federal Register. This file is a fact sheet about the notice.
