Conference Description

To share information, discuss and develop well-rounded, integrated approaches to risk assessment, risk management, and standard setting issues for drinking water and surface water contaminants.

Audience

Participants represent mainly State and Tribal health and environmental agencies, EPA headquarters and regional offices, and other federal agencies.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Nassau Inn in Princeton, NJ. Note that participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and other expenses.

Please note that the Nassau Inn will only provide the prevailing GSA rate* (currently $139/single or double occupancy plus 15% tax) to federal and state government employees that have adequate justification. They are very strict about enforcing this policy. In order for a government employee to receive the prevailing GSA rate* at the Nassau Inn, he or she must both:

  1. Show government identification at the time of check-in; and
  2. Pay with a government issued payment method. As per discussion with the hotel's manager, the approved payment methods are
    1. Government-issued credit card
    2. Government-issued check made out to the hotel in the full amount of the stay, to be provided to the hotel by the time of check-in
    3. Personal credit card will be accepted only if the meeting attendee also provides a copy of his or her approved travel request at the time of check-in

For all other attendees, the hotel will provide a group rate of $159/single or double occupancy plus 15% tax for all other meeting attendees.

Please make reservations at the Nassau Inn, Princeton, NJ using the reservations line at (800) 862-7728 and reference the Group Name: “EPA FSTRAC Group” in order to receive the prevailing GSA rate* or meeting group rate. The cutoff date for the reserved block of rooms is September 28, 2009. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to reserve a room at this hotel or receive the prevailing GSA rate* or meeting group rate after September 28.

Nassau Inn Check-in time: 3:00 PM; Checkout time: 11:00 AM

*Please note that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) lodging rate (http://www.gsa.gov/graphics/ogp/FY09DownloadablePerDiemRates.xls) is updated each year on October 1st. The hotel reserves the right to change the room rate for your stay during the meeting to correspond to the prevailing maximum GSA lodging rate.

Parking

Parking for Nassau Inn guests is available at the Hulfish & Chambers Parking Garages. A parking pass, which will be charged to your account daily, may be obtained by contacting the Front Desk upon check-in, for the fee of approximately $18.00 per day. On-street metered parking is also available and an additional parking garage is available on Spring Street.

  1. Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit #9.
  2. Follow US-1 South Toward Princeton.
  3. Turn Right at Washington Road/Route 571.
  4. Turn Left at Nassau Street/Route 27.
  5. Go three (3) Blocks and turn Right onto Palmer Square East.
  6. Follow Palmer Square East and you will come to the Nassau Inn's Motor Entrance.
From Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) & Philadelphia Area

approximately 45 miles

  1. Take I-95 North to Exit 7 B to Route 206 North.
  2. Follow to a Fork at Traffic Light.
  3. Stay to the Right for Nassau Street/Route 27.
  4. Go three (3) Blocks and turn Left Onto Palmer Square East.
  5. Follow Palmer Square East and you will come to the Nassau Inn's Motor Entrance.
From North New Jersey
  1. Take Route 206 South towards Princeton
  2. At Nassau Street/Route 27, Turn Left.
  3. Go three (3) Blocks and turn Right onto Palmer Square East.
  4. Follow Palmer Square East and you will come to the Nassau Inn's Motor Entrance.
From South New Jersey
  1. Take 295 North to US-1 North to Princeton.
  2. At Washington Road, follow jughandle on Right for Route 571 West.
  3. At Nassau Street/Route 27, Turn Left.
  4. Go three (3) Blocks and turn Right onto Palmer Square East.
  5. Follow Palmer Square East and you will come to the Nassau Inn's Motor Entrance.
