Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with Venoil LLC for Clean Water Act Violations in Washington
Summary
EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with Venoil, LLC (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) program at its bulk used oil storage and processing facility in Anacortes, Washington.
EPA alleges that the respondent violated SPCC regulatory provisions that were identified during a July 2022 SPCC inspection of its Anacortes bulk used oil storage and processing facility and review of its 2013 and 2022 SPCC plans for the facility.
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in a Consent Agreement and Final Order. Under the proposed agreement (see "Related Documents" below), the respondent will pay a civil penalty of $57,800.
