2021 P3 Expo - Tertiary Wastewater Treatment through Aquaponics
Western Dakota Technical Institute, Rapid City, SD

The goal of this project is to develop an aquaponics system for use in tertiary wastewater treatment. The video provides background for the project and highlights our current work in aquaponics, including the design for a mobile aquaponics system. This system has the potential to be integrated into wastewater treatment to lower nutrient levels, and potentially bacteria, in wastewater effluent.
Technical Students from CAD, CEA, EET, ET, and FRM
The project team consists of two undergraduate students and a professor. One is a graduating senior chemistry major (Khoa Tran), and the other is a junior biophysics major (Ricardo Zamora). Dr. Richard Lombardini is an Associate Professor of Physics and PI of project.
