EPA EXTENDS TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY REPORTING DEADLINE
In response to requests for more time, EPA is providing facilities required to submit Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reports for calendar year 1996 until September 8, to submit their reports. EPA had previously extended the reporting deadline from July 1 to Aug. 1. However, due to changes in the TRI reporting form, the availability of a new type of electronic filing system, and delays in the distribution of the TRI reporting package EPA is providing the regulated community with more time. To receive a copy of the reporting package, which includes extensive guidance for preparing TRI reports and other assistance call 1-800-535-0202. Copies of the reporting package also can be downloaded from the Internet at: https://www.epa.gov/opptintr/tri/formr.htm. Instructions and software to electronically file TRI reports also are available on the Internet at https://www.epa.gov/opptintr/afr96.
