The State of Oregon and the EPA have identified vehicle repair shps as potential sources of contamination of underground water sources due to their historic reliance on drains that send oil, cleansers, antifreeze and other toxic materials into groundwater supplies. Many communities, including those in the central Oregon area, rely on groundwater for their drinking water supplies.
