EPA Employee Honored for Superior Service

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency presented a bronze medal for superior service to Gary Sherman of Adamstown, Pa. for his work in protecting students in the District of Columbia  from exposure to asbestos.  Mr. Sherman, the regional asbestos program coordinator, has worked for one year at EPA.

"Mr. Sherman deserves applause for his hard work.  Thanks to him, the mid-Atlantic is a cleaner, safer place to live,"  said W. Michael McCabe, EPA regional administrator.
