Knowledge Delivery and Solutions-Driven Translation to Support Decision Making

Translating and Delivering Research to Users
This research translates chemical data and information generated by EPA to evaluate and demonstrate how it can be used by EPA regulatory offices, states and other partners. The intent is to work closely with risk assessors and decision makers to increase confidence that new approaches, data, and tools developed are scientifically sound and improve environmental and public health decision making.
Information, Translation, and Knowledge-Delivery
Information, Translation, and Knowledge-Delivery (ITK) research develops online tools, platforms, guidance documents and other materials to help integrate chemical information to inform chemical safety decisions made by EPA and stakeholders.
Outreach and Engagement Opportunities
EPA's Safer Chemicals program is continuously working to improve the way we deliver our research, data, and tools to users. There are many ways to interact with our research and researchers, including public webinars, trainings, interactive tools, and research collaborations.
Evaluation and Demonstration
Regulatory agencies world-wide are looking to efficiently integrate information on chemical substances in order to inform priorities for decisions and data requests. New approaches are being developed to increase efficiency and focus expert review on substances that may have a greater potential for selection as a high- or low-priority candidate.
