Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with City of Rogue River for Clean Water Act Violations in Oregon

EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with the City of Rogue River (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act at its facility located in Rogue River, Oregon.
EPA alleges that the respondent failed to comply with its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit (#OR0023043). Alleged violations include the exceedance of permit effluent limits for E.coli and pH.
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in an Expedited Settlement Agreement. Under the proposed agreement (see "Related Documents" below), the City of Rogue River has agreed to pay a civil penalty of $600 and has returned to compliance.
