Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with Emida Water and Sewer Association for Clean Water Act Violations in Idaho
Summary
EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with the Emida Water and Sewer Association, Inc. (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act at its facility located in Emida, Idaho.
EPA alleges that the respondent failed to submit status/progress reports, conduct required monitoring, report noncompliance when discovering elevated E. coli levels in samples, and exceeded the permit effluent discharge limits.
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in a legal document called an Expedited Settlement Agreement. Under the proposed agreement (see "Related Documents" below), the Emida Water and Sewer Association, Inc., will pay a civil penalty of $1,025.
