Version 3.0
CAP-88 Version 3 incorporated dose and risk factors from Federal Guidance Report No. 13: Cancer Risk Coefficients for Environmental Exposure to Radionuclides, (FGR 13) in place of the RADRISK data that was used in previous versions. FGR 13 factors are based on the methods in Publication 72 of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), Age-Dependent Doses to Members of the Public from Intake of Radionuclides. In addition, the CAP-88 PC database, the user interface, input files and output files were modified to accommodate the FGR 13 data formats and nomenclature.

CAP-88 PC Version 2 (zip) (4 MB)
CAP-88 PC Version 2.0 (Regulations.gov Docket No. EPA–HQ–OAR–2002–0050, Items 0042 and 0043) provided a framework for developing inputs to perform full featured dose and risk assessments in a Windows environment for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with 40 CFR 61.93(a). Version 2.0 was approved for compliance demonstration in 1999. CAP-88 PC version 2.0 is a Windows version of CAP-88 PC. Version 2.0 includes some minor changes compared to the DOS version.
Special Installation Instructions for Version 2.0
CAP-88 PC Version 2.0 will NOT run under Windows XP or Windows NT. It will run under Windows95 - Windows2000 if installed following special instructions that compensate for the more limited file recognition capabilities of Windows 3.1 used to develop CAP-88 PC v2.0. Windows95-2000 will automatically install it in the directory "C:\Program Files\," which has more than the eight characters CAP-88 PC v2.0 can recognize.
To install the program correctly, follow these instructions:
- Click on the C2.EXE file to download, and save it to your C:\ drive.
- Open Windows Explorer, and double click on the C2.EXE file. The "Welcome" dialogue box will appear and ask if you want to install the program.
- Click "OK."
- When the "Select Destination Directory" dialog box appears, change the path from: C:\Program Files\CAP88PC2 to: C:\CAP88PC2.
- Click "OK."
- Follow the directions in the succeeding dialogue boxes to complete installation of the program.
- Before running the program for the first time, download and execute the
