Background

The Terry Creek Dredge Spoil Areas/Hercules Outfall is located on the Atlantic coast directly east of the city of Brunswick, Glynn County, Georgia. The site is located, near the confluence of Terry Creek, Dupree Creek, and the Back River, north of the Torras Causeway and east of U.S. Highway 17. The site consists of a salt water tidal creek and marsh system. The Hercules outfall ditch extends from Highway 17 to Dupree Creek.
