Project Description
The Las Virgenes-Triunfo Joint Powers Authority’s Pure Water Project will construct an advanced water purification facility to treat effluent from the Tapia Water Reclamation Facility for potable reuse. The project will eliminate the need to discharge unused recycled water to Malibu Creek, except under qualifying events, enabling the Las Virgenes Joint Powers Authority to meet new regulatory requirements. By completing this project, the Las Virgenes Joint Powers Authority will protect critical habitats, maximize beneficial reuse of recycled water, enhance water supply reliability, and replenish the Las Virgenes Reservoir.
