FrEDI
Framework for Evaluating Damages and Impacts
The Framework for Evaluating Damages and Impacts (FrEDI) is a reduced complexity model that projects impacts of climate change within the United States through the 21st Century, under any custom temperature or emissions pathway. This Framework draws upon over 30 existing peer-reviewed studies and climate change impact models, including from EPA’s Climate Change Impacts and Risk Analysis (CIRA) project, to estimate the relationship between future degrees of warming and associated physical and economic impacts across more than 20 category sectors, regions, and populations. This detailed information helps EPA to better understand and communicate the potential impacts and risks from climate change in the United States.
