The SRF Public Dashboards provide access to both DWSRF and CWSRF data visualizations of priority areas. The dashboards allow the public to analyze SRF data in a user-friendly interactive visual environment through set filters. The dashboards include charts and maps that dynamically update based on easy-to-use filters. The data and visualizations from the dashboards will be downloadable in a variety of formats, such as, Excel, PDF, and JPEG.
The DWSRF and CWSRF data displayed is from the Water Infrastructure Investment Tracking System (WIITS).
The annual data presented in the dashboard is updated each year on June 30th. Therefore, any updates made after June 30th will not appear until the following year’s annual data release.
Future updates to the dashboards will include additional data from EPA Office of Water programs.
Why do I want to use the SRF Public Dashboards?
The SRF Public Dashboards were created to provide high-level, priority SRF data in a clear and visual format for the public. Users can intuitively explore SRF data through interactive click-enabled charts, which can be downloaded as images in PDF or JPEG formats.
Using the dashboards allow the public to get an inside view into their state's SRFs use and performance, including comparison to other state SRFs.
How do I use the SRF Public Dashboards?
The SRF Public Dashboards default view is set to the latest year of available data. The visualizations presented in the dashboards will update as filters are selected and populate the corresponding information. Available filters are state/territory and year.
To filter data, use the filter button at the top labeled State/Territory and Year. Alternatively, filters can be selected by clicking elements in the following visualizations.
- Assistance Provided by State Map - State/Territory
- Assistance Provided Bar Graphs - State/Territory
- Line Charts - Year
To remove all filters, click on the Clear Selection button.
To download visualizations or data right click on the item desired.
The following visualizations are available for both the DWSRF and CWSRF. These visualizations will update as filters are selected.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI): Show a high-level summary of key priority areas.
- Assistance Provided by State Map: Color coded scale by amount of assistance provided, darker color denotes higher amount of assistance provided.
- Bar Graphs
- Assistance Provided: Shows assistance provided in dollar amounts by state.
- Disadvantage Community Assistance ($): Shows assistance provided in dollar amounts to disadvantaged communities by state.
- System Size: Shows assistance provided by system sized based on population served.
- Project Type: Shows assistance provided by project types.
- Need Addressed Donut Chart: Shows assistance provided by compliance need addressed. Note: this chart is only available for DWSRF data.
- Line Charts
- Annual Trends ($): Shows annual trends in dollar amounts of assistance provided, project disbursements, and disadvantaged community assistance per year.
- Annual Trends (#): Shows annual trends of number of assistance agreements, project starts, projects completed, and disadvantaged community assistance per year.
- Disadvantaged Community Assistance Trends: Shows trends of disadvantaged community assistance in dollar amounts and number of agreements per year.
- Cumulative Assistance Provide vs. Cumulative Funds Available (%): Shows percent of cumulative assistance provided vs cumulative funds available per year.
Note: Annual assistance dollar amounts include both new assistance agreements and amendments/deobligations to prior year assistance agreements. As a result, assistance dollar amounts may be negative for any data element in a given year. Negative amounts happen when prior year assistance agreements have deobligations (decreases in the size of the original assistance agreement) in the current year. The decrease is recorded in the year when the deobligation occurs instead of the year when the assistance agreement was originally made. Therefore, a negative amount for any data element occurs when the total of all deobligations is higher than the total of new assistance.
